Job summary

UMass Boston is seeking an Associate Registrar for Curriculum Management to develop and manage systems for curriculum/requirement management, degree audits, course planning, graduation tracking and certification.

The role supervises staff, coordinates with Chairs, Deans, colleges and IT to keep systems current and secure, and serves as liaison for governance and reporting. Requires strong analytical skills and experience with Curriculog, Acalog, Cognos and SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or related field with 7–10 years in higher education systems and administration.
• Additional 4 years in Enrollment Management related to curriculum processes can substitute for degree.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills; familiarity with data security and FERPA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee degree audit, Curriculog, Acalog, and graduation tracking systems.
• Supervise staff in audit, transfer and graduation areas of the Registrar's Office.
• Project manage Curriculog development and maintenance; coordinate with IT and contractors.
• Train faculty and staff on degree audit, degree planner, and Curriculog processes.
• Coordinate interfaces between audit modules with UITS and external vendors.
• Prepare reports for decision-making and curriculum planning; liaise with Provost and Faculty Council.
