Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education or related field required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• Experience in K-12 education and professional development preferred.
• Licenses and certifications as required by MSDE for teaching/leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a strategic and collaborative member of the Academic team to communicate AACPS philosophy, goals, and expectations of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to school staff and the community.
• Assists with implementation and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive academic program aligned to MSDE standards.
• Leads professional development initiatives for teachers and school teams at district and school levels.
• Works with school leadership to facilitate collaborative planning to enhance curriculum and instruction and to build teacher capacity.
• Visits schools to observe instructional practices and provide feedback for data-driven planning.
• Stays current with best practices, new ideas, and trends in the field.
