Job summary

Country Kids Day Care, Inc. is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to oversee Frog Street implementation across classrooms and support teachers with coaching, planning, and professional development.

You will work closely with the Center Director to raise instructional quality, manage curriculum resources, and ensure licensing and safety standards are met while participating in staff trainings, meetings, and center events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of classroom teaching in a licensed early childhood setting.
  • Experience with curriculum implementation or coaching preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Frog Street curriculum experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Review lesson plans and portfolios, providing practical guidance for developmentally appropriate learning.
  • Conduct classroom observations and coach teachers to strengthen practices.

  • Serve as a curriculum resource on learning environments and developmental needs.
  • Manage curriculum materials and purchases in a budget-conscious way.
  • Partner with the Center Director to improve instructional quality across the center.
  • Support leadership with operations such as tours and events.
  • Promote licensing, health, and safety standards in daily practice.
  • Attend staff meetings and required trainings; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

General Position Description

The Curriculum Coordinator supports high-quality educational programming across all classrooms by overseeing curriculum implementation and helping teachers provide engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. This role works directly with teachers through coaching, classroom observations, lesson planning support, and professional development while ensuring consistency with Frog Street curriculum, center philosophy, and licensing requirements. The Curriculum Coordinator works closely with the Center Director and serves as a member of the center leadership team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee implementation of the Frog Street curriculum across age groups, ensuring classroom activities, lesson plans, and learning environments support developmental goals and center expectations.

  • Review lesson plans and child portfolios and provide teachers with practical guidance for creating intentional, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

  • Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching, feedback, modeling, and ongoing support to help teachers strengthen their classroom practices.

  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of new teachers and coordinate curriculum-related training and professional development for staff.

  • Serve as a resource to teachers on curriculum, classroom management, learning environments, developmental needs, and adapting activities for individual children.

  • Manage curriculum materials and classroom educational resources, including distributing Frog Street materials and fulfilling teacher supply requests in an organized and budget-conscious manner.

  • Partner with the Center Director to identify instructional needs, improve classroom quality, and promote consistency across the center.

  • Support center leadership and operations as needed, including opening and closing responsibilities, leadership coverage, parent tours, field trips, and center events.

  • Follow and promote center policies, licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and professional expectations.

  • Attend staff meetings, required training, and professional development opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of child development, early learning standards, and developmentally appropriate practices from infancy through preschool and school age.

  • Ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to teachers while building positive and collaborative working relationships.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage curriculum resources, documentation, training, and multiple classroom priorities.

  • Confidence in modeling effective teaching strategies and leading professional development for early childhood educators.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a licensed early childhood setting.

  • Experience with curriculum implementation, teacher coaching, mentoring, or professional development strongly preferred.

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.

  • Experience with Frog Street curriculum preferred, but not required.

  • Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain.

  • Must meet applicable state licensing requirements and pass required background checks and health assessments.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work actively in early childhood classrooms, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and sitting or playing at children's level.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with classroom activities, materials, and equipment as needed.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic early childhood environment with exposure to common childhood illnesses.
