Job description

About This Role

We are seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and dependable Curriculum & Classroom Support Specialist to support our preschool program. This role provides essential instructional and documentation support for two Seattle Preschool Program classrooms by covering teacher planning time, assisting with curriculum implementation, and maintaining child observations and portfolios.

At Hutch Kids, we construct a child-centered, developmentally appropriate, emergent curriculum that encourages children’s growth and development, including their self-confidence, spontaneity, curiosity, and self-discipline. As a whole, and within each classroom, we consider ourselves a community of learners. Low classroom ratios allow for the development of secure, lasting relationships between children, teachers, and families. Hutch Kids is accredited by NAEYC and participates in Early Achievers.

Hutch Kids is committed to fostering a culture of belonging for children, families, and educators. Individuals from all backgrounds and identities are encouraged to apply given that their unique experiences and perspectives directly support the need for all young children to have both mirrors and windows within our community.

The ideal candidate has experience in early childhood education, strong time management and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of early learning documentation practices. This position is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys both classroom support and behind-the-scenes organization that helps maintain high-quality learning experiences for children and teachers alike.
