Job summary

McLaughlin Research Corp in Keyport, WA seeks a Technical Instructor/Course Developer to design, update, and deliver technical training. The role requires organizing complex subject matter into structured units, integrating graphics and simulations as needed, and supporting a range of instructional formats.

You will teach short technical courses, maintain curriculum quality, and develop new teaching approaches to keep trainees engaged.

Qualifications

Curriculum development and instructional design experience.
Experience organizing complex subjects into teachable units.
Ability to create and integrate graphics or simulations into training materials.

Responsibilities

Responsible for curriculum development and maintenance.
Coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining long and short range training programs.
Uses a computer to organize and draft curriculum, create graphics, and integrate them into curriculum.
Teaches short technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and to evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses.
Incorporation of new curriculum in the teaching process (e.g., develops clarification or examples of application related to the subject matter).
Development and maintenance of classroom techniques that reflect professionalism and good discipline and enhance teaching.
Development of alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas, and while acting as the testing officer, the conducting of test analysis and development or revision of test items.
