Job summary

Synopsys is seeking an Academic Programs specialist to develop curriculum materials for structural engineering using Ansys tools in university settings. You will collaborate with professors, researchers, and student teams to understand goals and translate them into teaching content and adoption strategies.

You will deliver trainings, webinars, and workshops, support field sales, represent Synopsys at conferences, and keep content aligned with pedagogical trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field; 3+ years of experience, or a Master's with 1+ year.
• Hands-on use of Ansys Mechanical and Ansys LS-DYNA; experience with commercial structural analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Travel domestically up to 40% for university visits, events, and workshops.
• Organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• PhD in structural engineering is a plus.
• Experience teaching or content development at university level is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build curriculum materials for structural engineering disciplines, including lectures and assessments.
• Collaborate with professors, researchers, and student teams to translate goals into content and adoption strategies.
• Develop content plans based on input from field teams, engineers, and educators.
• Deliver trainings, guest lectures, webinars, and workshops on applying Ansys tools to real problems.
• Support academic field sales by strengthening university relationships and guiding tool usage.
• Represent Synopsys at conferences and academic events to grow adoption and collect feedback.
• Stay current on pedagogical trends to keep content relevant and effective.
