Support the USARCENT G2 current-operations function by turning time-sensitive intelligence and operational reporting into a reliable command-level operating picture. The specialist maintains continuity across daily operations, coordinates staff actions, and provides accurate decision support for USARCENT activities in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor assigned operational and intelligence reporting, events, taskings, and information requirements in approved classified and unclassified systems and identify items requiring immediate staff attention.
  • Maintain current-operations trackers, event chronologies, running estimates, suspenses, coordination records, and continuity logs so incoming personnel can quickly understand status, decisions, and next actions.
  • Receive, validate, prioritize, route, and track time-sensitive requests for information and staff actions through documented completion.
  • Develop concise operational summaries, update briefs, situation reports, timelines, graphics, and other decision-support products for G2 and supported USARCENT leaders.
  • Compare reporting from multiple staff and operational sources, identify conflicting or incomplete information, and resolve or elevate gaps with the facts and source references needed for a decision.
  • Coordinate with intelligence, operations, logistics, plans, security, and other supported organizations to synchronize actions affecting ongoing USARCENT missions.
  • Support requirements, sourcing, and strategic-movement coordination by maintaining visibility of relevant operational changes, dependencies, and readiness impacts.
  • Apply classification, need-to-know, releasability, and approved dissemination rules to current-operations products and immediately report security or access concerns.
  • Provide disciplined turnover and follow-through during high-tempo periods, ensuring that open actions, emerging risks, and pending decisions are not lost between personnel or reporting cycles.
Contract Requirements
  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance. Interim clearances are not accepted for this position. Any higher access requirement is subject to final Government direction and the awarded contract.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card, installation access, and required Government system/network access; performance cannot begin while required access is pending.
  • Must possess English-language proficiency sufficient to perform the essential duties of the position, prepare required reports and deliverables, and communicate effectively with Government and contractor personnel. Must comply with applicable workplace and installation conduct requirements.

  • Experience preparing operational briefs, maintaining a common operating picture, or controlling time-sensitive actions.
  • Strong written communication, judgment, teamwork, and shift-handoff discipline.
