Job summary

Meijer is hiring for a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy. You will ensure a smooth pickup experience from start to finish, greet customers, and maintain positive relationships with store team members and leadership.

The role emphasizes service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Training is provided, with a focus on efficient, customer-first curbside operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable; process-driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow via dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select, scan, verify, and bag items according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep curbside area clean and ready for next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
