Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales goals and complete trainings.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high potential talent.
• Assist leadership with department scheduling to boost engagement, service, sales and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety standards and safe operations.
• Lead tasks in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to help meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
