Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach other team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training new team members and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Collaborate with leadership on department scheduling to boost engagement and profitability.
• Monitor product rotation and dating policies to ensure freshness.
• Guide the team on food safety standards and safe operation practices.
• Lead tasks related to ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays where applicable.
• Foster a Meijer culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed; operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to help achieve goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
