Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy, ensuring a smooth pickup experience from start to finish.

You will greet customers, verify items, and coordinate with store leadership to resolve any issues, while maintaining a clean curbside area and adhering to safety guidelines. Prior cashier or retail experience is a plus, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable curbside service at the Meijer Pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone, addressing questions and needs.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
