Job summary

Roger Langeliers Construction Co. is seeking a dedicated Curb Machine Operator with CDL A and concrete experience to join our team in Oregon.

You will prepare, pour, and finish concrete structures using slip-form equipment, while maintaining safety and communicating with crew and supervisors. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, and our ESOP.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating concrete slip-form equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes and site plans.
• Strong communication with team members, supervisors and clients.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to concrete work.

Responsibilities

• Operate curb machines to pour and shape concrete curbs, sidewalks, and barriers per project specs.
• Set up, adjust, and align curb machines for correct grade and elevation.
• Monitor concrete flow, timing, and finish quality during operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans to follow layout requirements.
• Operate CDL A vehicle to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Safely load, secure, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
• Operate heavy machinery like excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes.
• Use hand and power tools to shovel, trowel, and finish concrete surfaces.
• Maintain clear communication with team, supervisors, and clients to coordinate tasks.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company protocols for a safe work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and trainings.

About the Job

Roger Langeliers Construction Co. is looking for a dedicated and skilled Curb Machine Operator with CDL A and concrete experience to be a key part of our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, with a strong commitment to teamwork. You’ll be responsible for various tasks related to the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures utilizing slip-form equipment. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Key Responsibilities

• Operate curb machines to pour and shape concrete curbs, sidewalks, and barriers according to project specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and align curb machines for proper grade, elevation, and consistency.
• Monitor concrete flow, ensuring correct mix, timing, and finish quality during operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans to follow layout requirements.
• Operate CDL A vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Safely load, secure, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
• Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes, to move and prepare materials.
• Use hand and power tools to shovel, trowel, and finish concrete surfaces.
• Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Operating experience with concrete slip-form equipment
• Ability to interpret site grading, blueprints, and local specifications to adjust and achieve accurate concrete surface finishes
• Willingness to perform manual labor tasks alongside equipment operator duties.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices, including knowledge of OSHA regulations related to concrete work.
• Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including day, nights, and weekends.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different project environments.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Positive attitude, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
