Job summary

Knife River Corporation in Belgrade, MT is seeking an Equipment Operator to support curb machine operations and ensure site safety and quality. The role requires maintenance and operation of equipment, the ability to read grade hubs, set strings, and communicate effectively with team members.

A GED or high school diploma and 2 years of equipment experience are required. TopCon GPS experience is preferred and concrete finishing is required; Knife River is an Equal Opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years equipment maintenance and operation experience.
• Ability to provide and maintain licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
• Safely and properly perform maintenance on curb machine (lubricating, fueling and cleaning).
• Safely and properly operate curb machine (including starting and stopping engine, and setting up).
• Read grade hubs and set string line for curb machine.
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; maintain positive customer relations.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems; monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
