An established community-focused organization is seeking a dynamic Instructor for full-day cultural arts camps aimed at children and youth. City of Delta is looking for a dynamic, creative, and energetic Instructor to teach our full day cultural arts camps for children and youth. Camps will run daily from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Camps will be held in three locations; North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen in July and August 2025. Camp leaders are responsible for the planning and delivering of quality, instructional, and engaging courses in visual or performing arts.
These camps introduce students to a variety of art or performance-based mediums and techniques and allow children to grow and develop through artistic expression. Camps support creativity while delivering high quality art or performance-based themed projects. Camp leaders are teachers, facilitators, counsellors, artists, and mentors for their students. They work with youth volunteers and provide mentoring opportunities. Camp leaders are responsible to maintain a safe and inclusive environment for a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Camp leaders will be supervised by experience Program staff and will have opportunity themselves to be mentored into caring, responsible and passionate cultural services program leaders.
Requirements
Experience teaching visual or performing arts to 6-12 year olds
Formal training is an asset, but not a requirement. Having a love for visual or performing arts and passion to transfer that knowledge to students is a must.

Able to work independently
Strong customer service skills
Energetic, engaging and patient
Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR
Reliable transportation to North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen
This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. In order to be considered for this opportunity, applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period., and have the ability to work 30 hours per week.
