Job summary

BKF is seeking a Cultural Resources Discipline Lead to run and expand our California-based team of archaeologists, paleontologists, and tribal resources specialists. This leadership role combines technical oversight of cultural resources compliance with active business development to grow our portfolio across public and private projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience, strong knowledge of federal/state preservation laws, and the ability to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geospatial sciences, geography, biology, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Preference is for candidates meeting SI/IOS qualifications for archaeology or anthropology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cultural resources compliance and lead the team.
• Develop business opportunities and grow client portfolio.
• Coordinate monitoring with tribal partners and agencies.
• Prepare technical reports and conduct Phase I/II surveys.
