Job summary

Terracon’s Phoenix office seeks an experienced Cultural Resources Lead to help grow and guide our Environmental Planning & Permitting practice. You will mentor staff, lead complex projects, supervise NEPA-related work, and collaborate with regional leaders to expand market share.

The role involves field surveys, reports, client interactions, and ensuring safety and quality across Arizona. Travel up to 25% and a flexible in-office schedule are expected.

Qualifications

  • Advanced graduate degree in Anthropology or Archaeology; 15+ years in cultural resources.
  • Strong writing skills; experience preparing proposals, budgets.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff across projects.
  • Familiarity with Arizona Antiquities Act, NHPA, NEPA and related laws.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Environmental Planning & Permitting team.
  • Manage Cultural Resource projects across Arizona and with regional teams.
  • Support proposal development and project delivery to grow market share.
  • Promote safety, quality monitoring, and data integrity on all projects.
  • Oversee fieldwork, reports, and data collection; coordinate client communications.
