Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a client-focused GIS specialist to join our Cultural Resources team in a hybrid work environment. You will use ESRI software to manage, analyze, visualize data, and publish web maps and dashboards for projects.

You will collaborate to maintain geospatial databases, develop workflows, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of GIS experience are preferred; travel under 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation, history, or closely related field.
• At least two (2) years of relevant GIS experience.
• If no degree, at least six (6) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize data.
• Publishing, configuring, and maintaining web maps, hosted feature layers, dashboards, and GIS applications in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Conducting spatial analysis and applying geoprocessing techniques to support cultural resources projects.
• Creating high‑quality maps and interactive web applications for presentations and reports.
• Collaborating with team members to design and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of geospatial workflows and standards.
• Staying up to date on the latest GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Effectively communicating GIS findings and analysis to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
• Providing GIS technical assistance and basic training to project teams and end users
