Job summary

Mead & Hunt, a national architectural, engineering, and construction firm, is seeking a client-focused GIS professional to join our collaborative GIS team in the Cultural Resources unit.

The role involves using ESRI GIS software to manage data, publish web maps, conduct spatial analysis, and develop geospatial workflows. Occasional travel (<10%) and hybrid work arrangements may be available, with growth opportunities in a people-first, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in geography, anthropology, archeology, historic preservation, history, or closely related field.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize data.
• Publishing, configuring, and maintaining web maps, hosted feature layers, dashboards, and GIS applications in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Conducting spatial analysis and applying geoprocessing techniques to support cultural resources projects.
• Creating high-quality maps and interactive web applications for presentations and reports.
• Collaborating with team members to design and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of geospatial workflows and standards.
• Staying up to date on the latest GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Effectively communicating GIS findings and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
• Providing GIS technical assistance and basic training to project teams and end users.
