The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, emphasizing flexibility, high quality, and member-driven approaches. The role involves compiling data, preparing reports, serving as a subject matter expert, working with vendors, and ensuring linguistic and cultural appropriateness in public-facing materials.

Responsibilities
  • Compile data and narratives for Cultural Competency and Language Access plans and quarterly LEP reports.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for vendor Readiness Review and educate vendors on Cultural Competence and Language Access plans.
  • Attend meetings and conduct quarterly audits of language interpretation and translation services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors; review materials and reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy and linguistic appropriateness of DDD's public websites and social media.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Hangouts).
  • Understanding of CLAS and ADA standards.
  • Knowledge of federal Medicaid requirements, state laws, and regulations related to DDD and AHCCCS.
  • Familiarity with systems of care, community supports, and culturally relevant services.
Skills
  • Microsoft Office, conflict resolution, coaching, cross-cultural communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Abilities
  • Work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Be flexible, creative, assertive; manage multiple tasks and environments.
  • Provide leadership, plan, organize, and manage time efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in diversity, healthcare, and bilingual skills preferred.
