Job summary

Trulieve is seeking a Cultivation Technician II to support the Cultivation department through day-to-day plant production, sanitation, and compliance with laws and policies. You may assist in mom, vegetative, and, when needed, flower and propagation tasks.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma, reliable attendance, strong teamwork and attention to detail. You will follow supervisor directions, perform repetitive agricultural tasks, PPE usage, and help train junior

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day plant production in Mom and Vegetative departments, potential support in Flower/Propagation.
• Follow directions from supervisors and maintain clean grow rooms.
• Climbing on ladders or elevated platforms as needed.
• Cull, prune, top, and defoliate plants; conduct low-stress training and tucking.
• Irrigate plants; identify and dispose of Green Waste.
• Train Cultivation Technician I teammates.
• Sanitize and store grow room tools and equipment; PPE usage per guidelines.
• Perform cross-department duties as needed; all other duties as assigned.

Job Title : Cultivation Technician II

Department : Cultivation

Reports to : Cultivation Site Supervisor

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt, Hourly

JOB SUMMARY

The Cultivation Technician II provides manual labor to support the operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. The Cultivation Technician II position will primarily support the Mom and Vegetative departments with day-to-day plant production tasks and sanitation responsibilities. In addition, as determined by business need, Cultivation Technician II team members may be flexed to provide support in flower and propagation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Physical, repetitive agricultural work, follow directions and take instructions from supervisors
• Repetitive climbing on a ladder or working on an elevated platform
• Culling plants
• Pruning, topping, and defoliation
• Low-stress training and tucking of plants
• Irrigating plants utilizing various methods
• Identifying and disposing of Green Waste
• Cleaning and sanitation as directed by leadership
• Pruning and defoliating
• Proper Use of PPE in accordance with company guidelines
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the grow room clean once plant maintenance is completed
• Assist in training Cultivation Technician I team members
• Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment upon use
• Perform various manual cross-department job duties as needed
• Secondary but essential job functions
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movement, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
• At times, the entire shift may be spent standing.
• Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movement.
• Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
