Job description

Green Gold Group is seeking a Cultivation Flower Technician who wants to be directly involved in producing exceptional cannabis throughout the flowering cycle.

For more than 9 years, Green Gold Group has been cultivating cannabis with one goal in mind: continuously getting better and producing some of the best cannabis possible. This position is for someone who enjoys working directly with plants, takes pride in the details, and understands that great flower is created through consistent care every single day.

The Cultivation Flower Technician is responsible for the hands‑on tending of flowering cannabis plants, maintaining plant health, assisting with Integrated Pest Management (IPM), identifying plant and environmental concerns, and maintaining clean and organized cultivation spaces.

This is a physically active, hands‑on cultivation position. Some days may involve detailed plant work; other days may involve moving plants, cleaning rooms, scouting for pests, or working through large sections of canopy. Every task matters, and every person on the Flower Team contributes directly to the quality of the finished product.

If you enjoy plants, problem‑solving, and the challenge of improving each crop, this may be the position for you.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily hands‑on care for cannabis plants throughout the flowering cycle.
  • Tend, inspect, organize, and maintain flowering plants throughout each stage of flower development.
  • Perform plant work including defoliation, pruning, canopy management, trellising, plant spacing, and other cultivation techniques as directed by cultivation management.
  • Maintain organized and consistent plant canopies to promote plant health, airflow, light penetration, and quality flower development.
  • Assist with installing, adjusting, and maintaining trellis systems.
  • Observe plants daily for changes in color, vigor, structure, moisture, nutrient response, pest activity, disease symptoms, or other abnormalities.
  • Immediately communicate unusual plant symptoms or developing problems to cultivation leadership.
  • Assist with irrigation‑related plant observations and identify plants showing signs of overwatering, underwatering, nutrient stress, or other concerns.
  • Help maintain accurate plant placement, strain organization, and room layout.
  • Handle flowering plants carefully to prevent unnecessary plant damage or contamination.
  • Keep Flower rooms clean, organized, and free of unnecessary plant debris.
  • Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, carts, and work areas according to company procedures.
  • Follow proper sanitation practices when moving between cultivation rooms.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
  • Scout flowering plants for pests, powdery mildew, disease, and other plant‑health concerns.
  • Report potential issues quickly to cultivation leadership and the IPM team.
  • Assist with scheduled IPM activities and plant preparation as directed.
  • Follow all required PPE, sanitation, safety, and company procedures.
Qualifications
  • Interest in cannabis cultivation, horticulture, agriculture, or plant science.
  • Previous commercial cannabis cultivation experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
  • Previous IPM, greenhouse, agricultural, horticultural, or plant‑care experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognize and report changes in plant health.
  • Ability to follow cultivation schedules, SOPs, sanitation procedures, and management direction.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive hands‑on plant work.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cultivation team.
  • Reliable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Willingness to learn new cultivation techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs as part of regular cultivation duties.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding cultivation tasks including standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing carts, and moving plants for extended periods.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who actually cares about the plants.

You do not need to walk through the door knowing everything about commercial cannabis cultivation. We can teach techniques, schedules, systems, and procedures.

  • Reliability.
  • Pride in their work.
  • Respect for the plant.
  • The ability to recognize when something doesn't look right.
  • The willingness to speak up when they see a problem.
  • The desire to make the next crop better than the last one.
Position Expectations

This position is specifically focused on the Flower Department and the care of flowering cannabis plants.

The Cultivation Flower Technician will spend the majority of their time directly working with plants and cultivation rooms rather than performing administrative duties.

Employees are expected to understand that commercial cultivation requires consistency. Plant work, scouting, sanitation, IPM, environmental awareness, and attention to detail all work together.
