Wegmans in Owings Mills, MD offers an entry-level structured training program designed to be completed in 6 months with mentorship. Successful completion leads to placement as a Lead Cook in our Restaurant Foods Kitchen.

As a culinary leader, you will assist the Sous Chef, follow recipes, educate customers, and help manage employees. Requirements include 2+ years as prep/line cook and food safety knowledge; preferred culinary degree.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a prep or line cook
• Food safety and quality assurance knowledge

Responsabilités

• Assist the Sous Chef in running the kitchen and managing employees
• Follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure products are consistently prepared to meet high standards
• Educate customers and staff on products and meal solutions, and suggest ways to prepare items from different departments
• Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback and development opportunities
