Job summary

SodexoMagic at Wayne State University is seeking a Culinary Supervisor to oversee food service teams across fast casual, coffee/counter, cafeterias, events, and dining locations. You will coordinate daily activities, support management, and ensure safe, high-quality service on-site.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience with supervisory exposure, a valid driver’s license, and a flexible, customer-focused mindset. Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $26.00 per hour - $30.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Culinary Supervisor at SodexoMagic, you are a master multitasker and a quality-of-life improver. You will provides oversight at the direction of management on-site to coordinate routine work activities of service employees engaged in food operations, including but not limited to fast casual, coffee/counter service, cafeterias, events/banquets, casual dining and cafes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
• Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
• Facilitate orientation and training of employees
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• 1 or more years of related work experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Additional Requirements: Possess a valid driver’s license
