Job summary

USC Hospitality seeks a Line Cook II (Culinary Specialist II) to join our high-volume kitchen operations on the USC campus. You will prepare food for guests, follow recipes, and work under the direction of the unit chef/manager while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Expect responsibilities across prep, cooking, portion control, and event catering, with emphasis on sanitation, inventory, and timely production. English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Specialized or technical training.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years.
• Culinary School Certificate or Diploma from a Culinary Arts and Management nationally accredited school.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and both restaurant and catering cooking.
• Excellent English communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer services to faculty, staff, students, and guests as part of USC Hospitality.
• Prepare food items to a la carte and event specifications according to recipes and guidance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout kitchens and storage areas.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and university rules and regulations and assist in trainings as needed.
• Support culinary and kitchen staff and assist with daytime operations and events.
