Job summary

Occidental College in Los Angeles is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for the Tiger Cooler. This 10-month, non-exempt, full-time position runs 20–32 hours per week with an end date of June 30, 2026 (possible extension).

Under the Food Service Manager, you will prepare and cook assigned items, keep the station and catering areas clean, and foster positive customer relations. A high school diploma or GED is required; ServeSafe certification is preferred and English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English, and converse fluently.
• ServeSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification.
• Experience in high-volume cooking and catering operations.
• Strong commitment to quality work and customer service.
