Job summary

You will handle deliveries, stock records and periodic inventories while following safety rules. The position expects English communication, ability to use a computerized ordering system, and a California Food Handler Training certificate within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow directions in English and communicate with customers.
• Must obtain California Food Handler Training within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to operate computerized ordering system and read orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot foods, entrees, vegetables, starches, sauces and gravies.
• Coordinate work of helpers and prep staff in a dining hall.
• Order supplies from storeroom and manage stock rotations.
• Receive, verify deliveries and record discrepancies.
• Maintain shelf and storage organization; rotate stock as needed.
• Record stock issued and assist with inventories.
• Assist with deliveries to other dining halls if needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and understand safety guidelines.
