Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Culinary Services by overseeing dining room operations, including supervising and assisting dining service team members.
- Maintain a customer-focused attitude, managing traffic flow and balancing serving responsibilities among food servers.
- Ensure visibility during meal times by seating and greeting residents, addressing concerns, and meeting their needs.
- Prepare schedules and assign tasks to wait staff, including table assignments and closing duties.
- Ensure uniforms and personal appearances meet standards, along with customer service and proper food handling techniques.
- Train wait staff on operating procedures and menu education.
- Ensure efficient operations within budget guidelines.
- Promote customer engagement activities and interact with residents during meals to monitor satisfaction and address concerns.
- Maintain highest quality and safety practices in food and beverage sanitation and service.
- Maintain sanitation and control standards in the dining area and wait stations.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, proper attire, and health standards are maintained by the dining team.
- Operate in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Monitor and evaluate food quality, presentation, temperature, and portion sizes, providing feedback and adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate table service, providing hospitality training and adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor and adjust meal accounts for accuracy.
- Ensure floor charts and tables are correctly set up.
- Assist servers with table service as needed.
- Record and track daily sales transactions.
- Assist with ordering in specific areas (e.g., liquor) and maintain budget compliance.
- Maintain POS system communication with IT support.
- Assist with timekeeping procedures and payroll entries as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in fine dining.
- Supervisory experience in a dining room setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
