Job summary

Brookridge Heights, a Sonida Senior Living community in Marquette, MI, seeks a Culinary Services Director to lead the dining program for residents and manage the culinary team. You will ensure high food service standards and collaborate with nursing to satisfy residents’ needs.

The role requires 3–5 years as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager, an associate degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality, and ServSafe/CDM certifications. You’ll oversee budgeting, purchasing, and daily cooking as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Culinary Director in restaurants, hotels, SNF, or senior living.
• Associate degree or higher in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or Hospitality Management; or Certified Executive Chef (CEC, ACF).
• ServSafe Manager Certification or Certified Dining Manager (CDM).

Responsibilities

• Manage culinary services department, plan and direct activities.
• Ensure food service standards, policies, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to meet residents’ needs.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and budgeting to achieve targets.
• Willingness to cook daily in the kitchen.
