Vintage Gardens in St. Joseph, MO, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a structured environment.

You will assist the Culinary Services Director, ensure sanitary standards, and contribute to a warm, welcoming dining experience. The role supports team collaboration, flexibility with shifts, and commitment to resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate required by state/local rules.
• Experience in volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Supervisory experience preferred; able to read recipes and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including service and cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; maintain work area and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.
