Job summary

The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our dining team. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals in a safe, organized kitchen and support dining operations for residents.

Responsibilities include maintaining service quality, assisting the Culinary Services Director, and ensuring sanitary standards are met in all meal periods. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate per state/local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Supervisory experience preferred; ability to read/understand recipes, work in a team, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves meals in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Assists Culinary Services Director in maintaining efficient dining services.
• Prepares meals for assigned shifts and ensures quality dining room service.
• Maintains standards for dining services including service delivery and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; handles leftovers properly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
