Job summary

The Waterford at Fairfield, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in Fairfield, Ohio. The role supports a Dining Services team and helps maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate, with experience in volume meal preparation preferred and some supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups preferred.
• Some supervisory experience is a plus; ability to read recipes and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve attractive, nutritious meals in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Assist Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepare meals for assigned shifts and maintain standards for service and cleanliness.
• Ensure leftovers are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
• Support dining room and kitchen operations and maintain safety protocols.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
