Job summary

Keystone Woods, a Sonida Senior Living community in Anderson, IN, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our team. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents with attention to timeliness and sanitary practices.

The role supports the Culinary Services Director, maintains dining standards, and helps ensure excellent resident meals and service. A High School diploma and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read/understand recipes, work in a team, flex shifts, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including efficient meal service, customer service, and cleanliness of dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; cleans work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.
