Job Functions

1. Work with the facility's Dietitian / Director of Food Services as necessary and implement recommended changes.
2. Ensure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
3. Perform other duties as deemed necessary or as directed.
4. Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information, reporting any unauthorized access.
5. Develop and maintain good working relations with staff and other departments to ensure proper food service for residents.
6. Create and maintain a warm, positive, and calm environment within the department.
7. Report any known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Administrator.
8. Log off computer workstations per facility policy.

Specific Requirements

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

• Maintain sanitation, safety, and proper use of supplies and equipment.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm for working with residents of various maturity levels.
• Willingness to learn new methods and incorporate them into food practices.
• Must not pose a health or safety threat to others.

Education: Minimum 8th grade education required.
