Job summary

ARAMARK is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with food preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and support daily reporting. The role emphasizes high standards of quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety, with daily collaboration with the manager to plan menus.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, ensuring food safety, managing storage, and assisting in major cleaning of equipment, while adhering to uniforms and policies.

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
• Prepare a daily report verifying transactions
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal
• Ensure storage of food in a sanitary manner
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
• Add garnishments to improve customer happiness and eye appeal
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation and storage
• Adhere to the uniform policy
• Connect with the Manager daily to plan the day
• Supervise food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
• Follow procedures for cleanliness and safety; duties include sweeping and ware washing
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat manner
• Perform other duties including other kitchen areas
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking/standing, and use of PPE
