Job summary

Compass Group USA in Scranton is seeking a full-time CULINARY LEAD (RESTAURANT AND PUB) at Marywood University. Location details include 2300 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509. The role entails overseeing kitchen operations, coordinating cooks and food-service staff, and stepping in for the Executive Chef when needed.

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. Prior experience managing staff in a culinary setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and reviews.
• Stores food in designated areas following all safety procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Explains daily menu items to associates and customers.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
