Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (AAS) in Culinary or related field or a high school diploma with 3 years of experience in a full-service food operation.
• Certification in food service or culinary disciplines preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares facility for classes and ensures work areas are clean and neat; lays out equipment, materials, and handouts.
• Assists in maintaining laboratory equipment; performs simple maintenance and notifies supervisor of repairs.
• Monitors inventory of materials and supplies; initiates ordering and ensures FIFO practices.
• Assists instructors in preparing and monitoring student lab assignments.
• Ensures laundry room organization and prepares towels for classes; assists in dining room service jackets cleanup.
