Job summary

Aramark is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in a fast-paced setting. You will prepare diverse dishes, set up stations, measure ingredients, and operate kitchen equipment while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will contribute to a positive guest experience, adhere to bite-sized guidelines, and participate in a team-driven environment that values quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations including sanitation and storage.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use different cooking methods on meats and vegetables.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food properly following safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and colleagues.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and ensure asset security.
