Job summary

Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino is seeking a Kitchen Worker for a full-time role. You will perform deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, maintain sanitation, and support the culinary team to ensure a clean, safe working environment for guests and staff.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced setting, and good teamwork. English communication is essential; a Food Handler card or equivalent is preferred where required by local regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• STA Kitchen Worker certification preferred.
• Knowledge of proper stove and equipment cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with handling industrial cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture.
• Perform deep cleaning of kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, floors, grills, broilers, and other surfaces.
• Conduct high-dusting throughout the kitchen and beverage outlets to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations and company policies to sanitize equipment and workspaces.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, garbage disposals, and other cleaning equipment; perform basic breakdown and reassembly as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas throughout the shift.
• Transport garbage, recycling, and debris from kitchen and bar areas to designated disposal locations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
