Job summary

Carneros Resort and Spa is seeking a Culinary Gardener to cultivate and harvest produce, herbs, and edible plants for our resort’s culinary and guest programs. You will manage on-site and off-site garden spaces, support sustainable practices, and ensure timely harvests for menu development.

The role serves as a liaison between the land and kitchen, coordinating with culinary leadership and operations to align planting cycles, transport, and storage with seasonal needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in gardening, farming, horticulture, or agriculture; culinary or organic gardening preferred.
• Knowledge of seasonal planting cycles and sustainable growing practices.
• Ability to operate basic garden equipment and irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, plant, and maintain seasonal crops and edible plants to support culinary needs.
• Harvest and transport produce to kitchen and culinary team, coordinating with menus.
• Maintain garden spaces and equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Support landscape aesthetics and participate in sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate with activities or guest experience teams for tours or programs.
