Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a Culinary Field Specialist to spend most days in kitchens across your subregion, tasting food, coaching line cooks, and guiding chefs to uphold Upper Crust standards with consistency.

You’ll coordinate schedules, manage staffing, source and track vendors, and work with area leadership to open new sites with a kitchen-first mindset, building toward an Area Manager role.

Qualifications

• Real time in a kitchen, a line cook, sous chef, kitchen manager, or chef with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Taste food, observe prep, and coach chefs to ensure consistency and quality.
• Catch food safety or quality issues early and fix them on the spot.
• Help chefs solve menu or supply problems in the field.
• Maintain schedules and ensure full coverage across houses in your subregion.
• Coordinate with vendors and open new houses to Upper Crust standards.
• Be the day-to-day on-site contact for partners, with escalation to the Area Manager as needed.
