Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a Culinary Field Specialist to supervise kitchen operations across a subregion, tasting and coaching in-house teams to uphold quality and safety standards. You’ll be on the line, guiding cooks, chefs, and kitchen managers, and ensuring consistent execution from house to house.

You’ll coordinate staffing, scheduling, vendors, and on-site partnerships, traveling within your subregion to keep kitchens running smoothly and elevate food quality for students

Qualifications

• Real time in a kitchen: line cook or chef leadership experience.
• Ability to coach technique and menu execution.
• Strong organizational skills to run schedules.
• Calm, decisive under pressure with kitchen timeliness.
• Willingness to travel within subregion.

Responsibilities

• Taste food, watch prep, and guide line performance.
• Coach chefs on technique, menu execution, and consistency.
• Identify and address food safety or quality issues on site.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and on-site coordination with vendors.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for partners; escalate to Area Manager when needed.
