Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years old.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak in sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers; ability to count.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram form instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with few variables.

Responsibilities

• Provide dietary services to residents.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability for performance to ensure quality food service.
• Maintain the dietary department in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Serve meals to comply with therapeutic diets and ensure they are presentable and palatable.
• Ensure residents choose meals in correct portions.
• Ensure all ordered items are available and prepared.
• Adhere to dress standards and attend scheduled meetings and training.
• Promote resident satisfaction by delivering service excellence.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain communication with management regarding situations.
• Keep dining areas clean and sanitary; monitor beverage supplies.
• Complete net learning within assigned time frame and keep email active.
• Be aware of safety hazards and report them promptly.
