Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or industry background qualifying for a Washington State CTE credential.
• Experience teaching a culturally, racially and economically diverse student population in urban schools.
• Ability to design and implement lesson plans aligned to state and district standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional programs designed to meet individual student needs and whole groups; prepare lesson plans.
• Use appropriate instructional methods and materials; implement program objectives and continuously improve methods.
• Establish classroom policies; provide guidance, counseling, and discipline to promote achievement.
• Confer with students, parents, guardians and staff to support progress and achievement.
• Set classroom goals; evaluate progress; prepare reports for parents or guardians.
• Collect and interpret data; provide reports for administration.
• Direct activities of assigned non-certified personnel as needed.
• Attend required staff meetings and related activities to fulfill position objectives.
