Job summary

Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, is seeking Line Cooks and Prep Cooks for seasonal work on-site in western Colorado. You will prepare and plan line setups, ensure quality service, and maintain prep throughout shifts in a luxury resort kitchen.

Two years of similar experience are preferred, with strong knife skills and culinary abilities. Benefits include holidays, 401k eligibility, on-site housing, and associations clubs. Seasonal wage is $18.00–$21.00 per hour.

• Two years' experience in a similar position.
• Culinary line or prep cook experience.
• Technical culinary abilities and knife skills.
• Experience in the hospitality industry or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, plan, prep, organize the line setup and provide quality service in all areas of food production.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure all prep work is maintained throughout the shift.
• Maintain knowledge of department menu items, ingredients and recipes.
• Inspect cleanliness and organization of line and stations; rectify deficiencies.
• Assist with inventories and in plating Banquet meals as needed.

Resort Culinary Team hiring Line Cooks / Prep Cooks

• Prepare, plan, prep, organize the line setup and provide quality service in all areas of food production.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental and resort policies/procedures
• Ensure all prep work is maintained throughout shift
• Maintain excellent working knowledge of department menu items, ingredients and recipes
• Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations; rectify any deficiencies; maintain through the shift
• Prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day
• Organize all various prep items needed from different areas to ensure all items are in place and ready for service
• Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by health department and Resort requirements
• Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables
• Assist with inventories as schedules
• Assist in plating Banquet hot meals as assigned
• Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule
• Perform duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned

Seasonal position - $18.00 - $21.00/hour
