Job Details Job Location: Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores - Gulf Shores, AL Salary Range: $13.00 Hourly

Summary: Enhances and improves the SRI Management experience specifically in Artful Dining for residents, families, and guests. Demonstrates and promotes SRIM's core value of the golden rule. Under general supervision, assists with food preparation and serving by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist in food preparation according to the established menu.
  2. Follow departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
  3. Wash and store all dishes following proper procedures.
  4. Serve and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
  5. Clean kitchen, food service equipment, and food storage areas daily.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
  7. Perform daily general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room as per schedules.
  8. Support a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  9. Respond promptly and courteously to residents’ and families’ requests for assistance.
  10. Communicate effectively in a language each resident understands.
  11. Maintain a safe environment free of objects or situations that could cause harm or falls.
  12. Practice good body mechanics and safe working habits.
  13. Report safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
  14. Follow established policies and procedures in emergency situations.
  15. Work as a team with other staff and management.
  16. Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude towards work, policies, residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
  17. Comply with attendance and call-off policies.
  18. Attend trainings, meetings, and in-service sessions.
  19. Wear clean and appropriate attire as per dress code.
  20. Refrain from discussing resident care issues with families and visitors; refer inquiries to supervisors.
  21. Follow HIPAA regulations.
  22. Assist in training new dining staff if needed.
  23. Take initiative, seek additional information, and suggest solutions.
  24. Take on special projects or duties outside regular responsibilities.
  25. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or less than one year related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell. Occasionally sit and climb or balance. Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Occasionally exposed to bloodborne pathogens. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to perform essential functions.
