Job summary

Monmouth County Vocational School District is seeking a Teacher of Culinary Arts for the Culinary Education Center in Asbury Park, NJ. This full-time, ten-month position opens November 2, 2026 with a salary range of $60,415–$99,170 and benefits including health, dental, prescription, and paid leave days.

The ideal candidate will hold a New Jersey instructional certificate for culinary arts and have experience in the food service industry.

Qualifications

Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility, or eligible academic or employment qualifications and willingness to attain certification.
Experience in the food service industry.

Responsibilities

Techniques of Education: employ instructional and evaluative techniques in the classroom.
Subject Competency/Professional Growth: pursue opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and qualifications.
Planning and Preparation for teaching classes.
Classroom Control and conflict resolution to maximize teaching time.
Teacher-Pupil Relationship: foster respectful student relations.
Classroom Management: maintain records and classroom environment.
Contribution to Total School Effort: cooperate with administration and staff.
Curriculum Development: participate in curriculum evaluation and revision.
Safety Program: implement district safety program in vocational education.
Performs Other Duties as assigned by administration.
