Job summary

American Senior Communities, LLC in Auburn, Alabama, is hiring a full-time Culinary Aide to assist with meal prep, service, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area for residents. You will work with culinary leaders to meet dietary needs and provide a positive dining experience.

The role requires a commitment to customer service and willingness to perform routine tasks alongside the culinary team. Prior server experience is preferred and a sanitation certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification (can be earned while employed).
• Preferred: Prior restaurant server experience.
• Required: Commitment to customer service.
• Required: Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Clean equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
