American Senior Communities is hiring a Culinary Aide in Scottsburg, IN for PRN shifts. You will support meal prep, service and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment, contributing to positive resident dining experiences.

The role emphasizes teamwork with culinary leaders, adherence to sanitation practices, and flexibility to perform routine tasks as part of a caring senior care team.

Qualifications

• Certification in sanitation/safe food handling preferred; can be earned while employed with ASC.
• Prior restaurant server experience preferred.
• Commitment to customer service is required.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.

Skills
