Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Culinary Aide to support meal preparation and service for residents in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist with meal prep, portioning, and ensuring a clean, sanitary dining area while collaborating with culinary leaders and service staff.

Ideal candidates will have a sanitation certification and a strong commitment to customer service, with the ability to handle routine tasks and work well with the culinary team and leaders.

Qualifications

• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred, may be earned after hire.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' dining needs and provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and resident diets.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace and equipment.
