Qualifications

• Attention to detail in tray setup and portion control.
• Knowledge of high standards of sanitation and safety in food service.
• Maintain personal hygiene and hair containment during shifts.
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate with departments.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Active CPR/BLS certification and current Food Handlers card.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve food on trays promptly, attractively, and at correct temperature.
• Check tray accuracy and place on the cart.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Assist in cleaning duties including work areas and equipment.
• Follow facility and state/federal safety and infection-control policies.
• Attend orientation, training and in-service education.
• Assist with inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies.
